This tool is designed to assess the child friendliness of a community from the perspective of children aged 8 years to 12 years. It asks questions about the context in which children grow, develop and experience their rights. As such, the tool is designed to supplement other data on children and their living conditions available to cities. Used in conjunction with the children’s’ and parent’s community assessment tool it can help guide the actions of communities and municipal authorities.
